Chiang Mai, Thailand
Tucked away in the trendy Nimmanahaeminda (Nimmana for short) area of Chiang Mai, The Wall Fitness stands out as a modern addition to the city's gym scene. Let me take you through my experience at this neon-lit fitness paradise.
The Wall Fitness
49/22 Huay Kaew Rd, Tambon Chang Phueak, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50300
First Impressions: Welcome to the Hulk's Playground
Located in the new area of Nimman, this gym is modern and packed with equipment. The neon green lights and brightly colored neon equipment feels like something that Hulk would train at. From the moment you walk in, you know this isn't your typical Thai gym – it's a statement piece in the Chiang Mai fitness scene and a leading fitness facility in Chiang Mai, inspiring and empowering individuals to live healthier and more active lives.
The Space: Compact but Mighty
The gym is split over 2 locations with shared ownership. This location spans two levels, and they've managed to pack a serious amount of equipment into the space. Here's the real talk – if you're tall like me (which most Thai people are not) and sometimes a little uncoordinated, you have to be a little careful with moving around in this gym... maybe not Hulk style it. The roof is quite low in half the gym to allow for the mezzanine level above, which is also a low height. But although this does reduce your "stand tall and be proud" ego, it doesn't replace the train hard vibe within the gym. And thank the fitness gods – the air conditioning actually works, making those intense workouts in Chiang Mai's heat much more manageable.
Equipment: Serious Kit in a Compact Space
Despite the height restrictions, they've managed to pack this place with everything you need for a solid workout:
Full range of free weights and machines
Squat rack and benches
Cable machine and functional training equipment
Cardio section with all the essentials
Deadlifting platform
Beyond the Main Gym: Calisthenics Room and Muay Thai Training
Here's something cool – they've got a partnership with a second location right across from the main gym that specialises in Muay Thai and Callisthenics, so if you want to mix up your training with some authentic Thai boxing, you're literally just steps away from making that happen.
The Vibe: Powerlifting Ready
Let me tell you about something that really opened my eyes here. During my stay, I had the privilege of watching a powerlifting competition, and holy crap – talk about breaking stereotypes! These athletes might not look like the Hulk, but they sure lift like him. It was a humbling reminder that true strength doesn't always come in the package you expect.
Communication: Easy
English is known here but do yourself a favor and brush up on some basic Thai. And if you post on your social pages about this gym and tag them… they will do you the honour of reposting and sharing to their social pages!
Membership and Pricing
Day Pass: 100 THB
Weekly Pass: 500 THB
Monthly Membership: 1,000 THB
*Extra if you wish to bundle this and experience the Muay / Callisthenics zone.
The Verdict
This gym ticked the boxes for me, I felt welcomed and they live by their mission and vision threefold and I appreciate this. Their opening hours provided options for training times (I must train in the morning otherwise it is not getting done) and they open from 6am week days and 8am weekends which worked for me. Their prices were competitive, and the equipment and space was clean and well maintained.
Pros:
Multiple weight loaded machines
Extensive equipment that covers literally every type of training
Muay / Callisthenics zone
Affordable membership options
Personal Training options available
Community Environment
Truly international crowd
Friendly crew working there
Airconditioning!!
Cons:
Low ceiling
Can be a little packed facility at times making it a little bit tight to move between machines and around others when busy so pick your time to train so its not so intense and squishy.
My Experience Training Here
Their Mission is to provide a welcoming atmosphere where individuals can achieve their fitness goals, improve their well-being, and meet like-minded fitness enthusiasts. And they do this well, we trained here for one month and the crew were welcoming, friendly and supportive.
Final Thoughts
The Wall Fitness is proof that great things come in compact packages. Don't let the low ceilings fool you – this place packs a serious punch when it comes to delivering a solid workout experience. From the moment you step into this neon-lit playground, you know you're in for something special.
What really sets this place apart isn't just the well-maintained equipment or the affordable prices – it's the sense of community they've built. Whether you're watching local powerlifters defy expectations, mixing it up with some Muay Thai lessons, or just getting in your daily grind, there's a place for everyone here.
Would I recommend it?
Absolutely! Whether you're a serious lifter, a fitness enthusiast, or just someone looking to stay in shape while exploring Chiang Mai, The Wall Fitness delivers. Just remember to duck if you're tall, choose your training time wisely to avoid the crowds, and come ready to be part of a community that takes their fitness seriously.

Must does: Goes without saying .... but I will say it anyway. Bring your own towel, water and always wipe the equipment after you have used it.
And follow the inhouse rules always!
